We welcome all correspondence, but we cannot and do not offer professional legal, medical, or psychological counsel of any kind. Requesting interviews or speaking with the membership
We are constantly receiving requests from parties interested in writing about Conversio Virium as a club or seeking to interview our membership about their experiences. While we think that it is nothing short of wonderful that so many people are interested in learning more about safe, sane, and consensual BDSM play, we would like to remind everyone wishing to contact us that our first priority is to protect the confidentiality and anonymity of our membership, to whatever degree an individual member requests. To balance that priority with our mission to educate, inform, and empower others, we offer the following guidelines for anyone who has an academic, commercial, or personal interest in speaking with our members:
- Under no circumstances will we ever provide lists of names, pseudonyms, or contact information of any kind (such as email addresses) of our members to parties interested in contacting our membership directly, so please don’t ask. We will also categorically refuse to allow video or audio recording devices of any kind to be used during these meetings so, again, please don’t ask.
- If you are interested in recruiting, interviewing, or otherwise interacting with our membership, we can offer to forward a request from you for volunteers or participants for your sexuality-related project to our membership via an announcement in our newsletter, an announcement at one of our meetings, or both. We are actually very happy to provide this proxy service because it often results in wonderful opportunities for everyone who chooses to opt-in. You are more likely to receive interested replies from our membership if you provide as many details about your project as you can.
