TES meeting: Getting Wet…G-Spot and Ejaculation with Felice Shays

This week’s TES meeting is all about female ejaculation (sometimes called “squirting,” though I’m not sure why that term is limited to female ejaculations). From the Getting Wet…G-spot and Ejaculation meeting description:

A live squirt demonstration and then the HANDS-ON part: Felice will help individuals and couples find their G-spots so that they can soak their own puppy pads too. Open to all genders.

Pleasure Salon: Monthly Soirée

Tonight is the Pleasure Salon’s monthly soirée!

The Pleasure Salon has been created to build community, allowing sex-positive activists to cross-pollinate. Our gatherings bring together members of the BDSM, swinger, LGBT, sex-activist, nudist, sex-magic, polyamory, radical faerie, tantra, dark odyssey, sex-blogger, porn and sex-worker communities, and others whose passion is sex. Through building networks in the sex-positive community, The Pleasure Salon hopes to help create a sex-positive world. It is a place for the open exchange of ideas and sensual expression.

This event is free and open to the public. I’ve always had a good time, and I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet quite a few big names in the various sexuality communities here.

CV Meeting: Sexy Halloween Fright-Fest

Join us this week for a Halloween party in which we invite you to bring your best in BDSM erotic literature, and/or scary stories. We’ll gather around an imaginary campfire in 301 Hamilton and see who can deliver the most thrilling, heart-stopping tale of horror and raunch. Dress in costume, or spooky old everyday clothes, whichever you like. Come a little early if you’d like to help us create some Halloween ambiance.

Note: There will be NO meeting next week (November 5th) due to academic holidays and election day, so get your CV fill this week.

TES-TNG meeting: Halloween Crafts Social

TES-TNG, the under-35 contingent of TES, is hosting a Halloween holiday “Crafts Social”:

Come on down and join us for a Halloween social and crafts time. We’ll decorate pumpkins, tell scary stories, and yes, of course, there’s going to be candy, candy, candy. Come in costume or come as you are.

Columbia University SVPRP discussion: Gender Roles in the Bedroom

Conversio Virium is happy to be co-sponsoring a facilitated discussion with Columbia University’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Program (SVPRP) entitled Gender Roles in the Bedroom, being held in Barnard 304. This is a great chance to make it out to some of the university’s other important sex-positive events, and meet other students who are not necessarily CV affiliates. Snacks will be served at 6:30 PM until 7 PM, when the discussion will begin. The discussion will focus on ways that gender roles are adapted or adopted by queer couples. And make sure to stop by the regular CV meeting, Flogging 101, afterwards, just across the street at our usual meeting spot.

TES meeting: Ties for Two with David Lawrence

The TES bondage special interest group is hosting a presentation by David Lawrence all about how to make bondage work especially well for couples who want to tie each other up.

A rope workshop to explore hands on tying for the sensual expression and enjoyment between two people. This exploration will involve a discussion touching upon such topics as trust, connection, the space that rope provides to the top and bottom and how vulnerability opens the door to magical results. For the riggers in this workshop we will share knowledge with you that will enable you to go with the flow of a rope scene that completely mesmerizes your partner and vice versa. For those who have yet to bring rope into your play together or who have shared this magical connection this workshop will inspire you to new heights. Come on and join us! Needed for workshop: Four to six 30-foot lengths and your partner. Or just come and watch.

CV Meeting: Flogging 101 with Virgil

One of our former Presidents of Vice, Virgil, is back with an old favorite: The Joy of Floggers and Flogging. Join us at the usual time and place for a bit of fun with some of our favorite versatile leather (or otherwise) instruments. If you have a flogger, bring it. We’ll be doing a little bit of show and tell in the beginning.
Also, let us all join together and think of how far CV has come since the last class we had on flogging.

DSF meeting: Erotic Rhythmic Caning

This week’s DomSubFriends meeting is all about Erotic Rhythmic Caning, presented by The Loving Tyrant and Silky:

When most people think of caning, they think of something that is stingy, painful, and unpleasant… unless of course they are a real masochist.

This presentation will show you another side of caning. Caning can be erotic, sensual, and even fun. This style of caning is usually set to scene appropriate music, which could be any music that you and your bottom enjoy.

TES meeting: Basic Scene Etiquette with Stacina Vale

TES’s Novice Group is once again touching on an important topic: Scene etiquette.

For new…and even not so new bottoms and tops…the Scene can be a confusing place. Who can I talk to? Touch? Hit? How should I act? Dress? How do I get that person to play with me at fetish clubs and parties? Join Stacina as she draws on her many years of Scene experience (and no doubt countless lectures from her “Miss Manners” Scene Mommy Cleo Vale) to bring you the basics on scene etiquette, negotiation and responsibilities. This meeting is sure to help you lay the groundwork for success in the Scene.

Spend a single moment in any sexual situation and you instantly discover an incredible oddity in today’s culture: people tend to think that basic rules of courtesy, personal respect, and personal accountability are different than they are in non-sexual situations. I can’t for the life of me figure out why so many people get this so horribly wrong so often, but they do.

The fact of the matter is, Scene and BDSM etiquette is in large part very much the same as vanilla dinner party etiquette. Indeed, that fact is the origin of the phrase, “vanilla rules apply,” which means that everything you’d do (and not do) at a vanilla party in terms of interacting with other people are still not only appropriate, but expected at BDSM parties.

Black Rose 2007

One of the largest BDSM events in the Northeast is the annual Black Rose event held in Washington, D.C. at the beginning of December. This year is their 20^th anniversary.

BRXX starts on Friday November 30^th. Workshops will be offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Special Events and Play Parties held on all three nights. We’ve got activities scheduled around the clock to help you enjoy your weekend—from midnight snacks, expanded social areas, expanded play space hours, high tea, Littles and pony activities, celebrity auctions, meet the author hour and so much more.

Registration for the event closes on November 27^th but if you register before October 30^th you’ll get a slight discount.

CV Meeting: Sexual Teasing and Denial with Sara and Maymay

TES meeting: BDSM Blunders

At TES’s meeting this Tuesday, Goddess Tatsumi is going to discuss the important topic of how to deal with a scene gone wrong.

Join Goddess Tatsumi as she discusses what happens when it all goes off the rails for a moment. How to you get back on track and evaluate what, if any, damage has been done? What about trust issues? It happens to all of us eventually, so be prepared!

CV Meeting: Bondage 101 with Dov

Want to tie someone up but the ropes keep unraveling at their ankles? Worried about what to do if you tied a knot a little too well? Come to Bondage 101 and get the basics of beautiful and functional rope-work from our fabulous Shibari-loving Dov.

This will be a very hands-on workshop. If you have it, bring four lengths of 30-foot rope that is 4–8 milimeters in diameter and, of course, someone to tie up! If you don’t, there’s no need to fret. We’ll provide extra lengths of rope and there are sure to be at least a handful of eager bottoms around! ;)

Seventh annual Polyamory Pride Day

Polyamorous-NYC is once again hosting Polyamory Pride Day in New York City. Poly Pride Day is a day-long celebration on the top of the Great Hill in Central Park. From the Polyamorous-NYC web site:
