Summer CV: Summer of Pride Wind Down Dinner

The five (count ‘em, five) CV people who showed up for the Pride Parade all had a super time. Pride rocks. Summer CV! Monday. That’s today. Big Daddy’s. You know the place: 239 Park Avenue South, between 19^th and 20^th Streets. 8 PM. Smiles for you, kinky folks. Today, life is good.

Floating World

CV is going to Jersey this summer. Join us, if you can, at Floating World at the end of this summer. CV members will be presenting, participating and otherwise perusing the convention center at what is sure to be the most talked about event of the year. The organizers advertise it as the largest play space in the Northeast. By registering as a member of CV, there is a slight discount, though volunteering is the cheapest way to attend. Contact us, or the organizers of Floating World if you have any questions. Let us know if you are attending so that we can all make sure to find each other. Hope to see you there!

Be Proud! It’s the Heritage of Pride Parade!

Come march in the Heritage of Pride Parade (formerly the Gay Pride Parade) with your fellow happy kinksters! A group of us from CV will be joining the TES contingent and marching along with them. Here’s the information from the TES web site:

The Heritage of Pride Parade, formerly known as the Gay Pride Parade is an important part of the history of all alternative lifestyle communities, as the original protest march led the way for many freedoms and recognitions. TES has representation in the Leather section of this parade annualy and Bruce K. is once again coordinating TES‘ participation in this great event. The TES contingent meet at section 8 on East 54^th Street between 5^th and Madison at 11:45 am on Sunday, June 24^th. Board member Eileen is one of the parade marshals and board member Thrash will be leading the whip throwing contingent. We encourage as many of you as possible to join us and support TES, the leather and alternative lifestyle community.

Summer CV: Who’s your daddy?

Big Daddy’s, of course. Big Daddy’s Diner, that is. Tonight at 8 PM we’ll once again storm the top floor of the diner for a Summer CV dinner. If it’s your first time, Big Daddy’s Diner is at 239 Park Ave South, between 19^th & 20^th Streets.

Leather Pride Night

Leather Pride Night is tonight! This fundraiser for the leather sexuality communities in New York City is a blast and always has a ton of fun events. Last year, there was a benefit auction where you could “buy” a play partner for a scene, and a fetish flea market with some great deals for the finding.

Leather Pride Night is sponsored by many organizations including The Gay Male S/M Activists, The Imperial Court of NY, Iron Guard BC, The Lesbian Sex Mafia, MetroBears NY, The Eulenspiegel Society, The New York Boys of Leather, MaST Metro NYC, and many other comitted individuals.

I’ll be attending with a handful of other CV members, so if you’re interested in coming out to support the community, I encourage you to check out the Leather Pride Night web site and make some new friends.

Summer CV: There’s Nothing Like Reruns

It’s true. I do believe reruns are the secret guilty pleasure of us all.

Summer CV! This Monday evening we will again invade Big Daddy’s Diner, located at 239 Park Ave South, between 19^th & 20^th Streets. The time will be 8 PM. They were super nice to us last week, and as a better option hasn’t cropped up in the last six days, we shall return.

I shall be a tad late to this evening’s festivities. I’m sure ya’ll can party on without me.

Summer CV Goes East Side

Now I know what you’re thinking, but don’t worry, it’s not too East.

Hello all. In my wanderings around our fair city I have stumbled on a new diner. You gasp, you point, you disbelieve, but there it is—new diners do actually pop up in our fair city all the time, like welts on a bottom’s back. (Humor my bad jokes, please.) The decor might be overly kitschy, but the food is great, and the burgers are served with Tater Tots.

The place: Big Daddy’s Diner at 239 Park Ave South, between 19^th & 20^th. An easy stroll from Union Square.

The time: Monday, June 4^th at 8 PM.

Big Daddy’s management has graciously offered to set aside their upper balcony room for our use on Monday evening. (Did I mention our waitress was a sweetheart, and also super cute?) When you arrive, simply go to the stairs in the back and come on up to join us.

I would love to see each and every one of you there. The summer nights are turning beautiful, and it’s great to spend them enjoying our fair city. In the meantime, have a great weekend!
